Right At School, LLC Announces Permanent Layoffs in Hawthorne, CA
Right At School, LLC has announced plans to permanently lay off a total of 98 employees across multiple locations in Hawthorne, California, effective June 18, 2025.
The layoffs will affect staff at the following sites:
- 13 employees at S Eucalyptus Ave
- 11 employees at W 139th St
- 11 employees at W El Segundo Blvd
- 24 employees at W 136th St
- 11 employees at W 129th St
- 10 employees at S York Ave
- 18 employees at S Yukon Ave
These layoffs are in compliance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, which mandates that employers provide a 60-day notice to affected employees and local representatives prior to mass layoffs or plant closures.
Right At School has been providing after-school programs in the Hawthorne School District since the 2023-24 academic year. The company has not publicly disclosed the reasons for these layoffs.
Employees impacted by the layoffs may be eligible for support services through local workforce development boards, which offer resources such as job placement assistance and retraining programs.
