Escalate Capital Secures $350 Million for Fifth Fund as It Marks 20 Years of Backing Big Ideas
Escalate Capital Partners just pulled off a major milestone, closing its fifth fund with $350 million in committed capital. Fund V brought in heavyweight limited partners like J.P. Morgan Investment Management, TD Bank, Cadence Bank, Regions Bank, and Truist Community Capital, LLC, which is part of Truist Bank.

The Austin-based investment firm, which has already pumped $1.3 billion into the market over the years, is wasting no time putting that new cash to work. It has already made its first two investments from Fund V, committing a total of $35 million. True to its playbook, the firm is sticking with high-growth, late-stage companies in technology, software, services, and healthcare across the United States.
"We are pleased to close Fund V with capital commitments from existing and new limited partners," said Chris Julich, general partner of Escalate Capital, highlighting how the fresh capital strengthens their mission of offering flexible funding options with a side of patience and partnership.
With 2025 marking the firm's 20th anniversary, co-founder and general partner Tony Schell added a little celebratory energy, saying, "As we celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2025, we're excited to work with innovative late-stage companies and provide them with the financing solutions they need to scale. Fund V is key to meeting this objective."
The announcement wasn’t just about big numbers and new money either. Escalate Capital also handed out some well-earned promotions. Travis Wood, who has been steering deals since joining in 2019, moves up to partner. Meanwhile, longtime insider Larry Bradshaw, who first came aboard in 2005, steps into a dual role as chief operating officer and chief financial officer, overseeing compliance and back-office operations.
With its headquarters planted firmly in Austin since 2005, Escalate Capital has built a reputation for backing companies that are ready to hit the accelerator. Now, with $350 million more to deploy, it looks like they're just getting warmed up.
