This action has been disclosed through a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Under the New Jersey WARN Act, employers with 100 or more employees must provide at least 90 days' notice before conducting mass layoffs, defined as the termination of 50 or more employees at an establishment. Failure to comply with this requirement obligates employers to provide severance pay to affected workers.

The New Jersey WARN Act amendments, effective April 10, 2023, have expanded the definition of a mass layoff and increased notice requirements. Employers must now provide 90 days' notice, and part-time employees are included in the employee count to determine applicability. Additionally, employers are required to pay severance equal to one week of pay for each full year of employment to affected employees.

This layoff is part of a broader trend in New Jersey, where nearly 100 companies announced more than 13,300 layoffs in 2024, as reported by public records.

Employees affected by the layoff are encouraged to contact the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Rapid Response team for assistance with unemployment benefits and job placement services.
