QVC to lay off about 900 employees

Qurate Retail Group, the parent company of Home Shopping Network (HSN) and QVC, has announced plans to close HSN's headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, as part of a strategic consolidation. Operations will be relocated to QVC's Studio Park campus in West Chester, Pennsylvania, a move expected to commence in the third quarter of this year.

This decision is anticipated to result in significant layoffs, with reports indicating that approximately 900 employees will be affected, primarily in Florida. The company has stated that impacted employees will receive "Organizational Impact Notifications," with official separation dates beginning April 1 or shortly thereafter.
