Trump Wants to Rename the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf of America”

Donald Trump is making headlines today.

'During a speech at Mar-a-Lago, Trump announced plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America.”

As if this was not enough, he also proposed “very serious tariffs” on Canada and Mexico, calling out their reliance on the U.S. for defense purposes.

Trump even joked (or maybe not?) about Canada becoming the 51st state (he even shared an "Oh Canada" captioned post on Facebook), and hinted at acquiring Greenland for its “national security importance.”

Other wild takes?

Trump wants to take back the Panama Canal from what he claims is undue Chinese influence. Oh, and his son, Don Jr., is reportedly lobbying Greenlanders for support to make it part of the U.S.

On Canada, he joked about hockey legend Wayne Gretzky becoming PM (lol), but said a U.S.-Canada merge would “boost security.”

But wait, Justin Trudeau posted this on his official Facebook:

There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States.

Meanwhile, Mexico got blamed for drug trafficking and immigration, justifying new tariffs.

Even if it is a joke from Donald Trump's side, followers of Justin Trudeau are not happy with Trump saying such words about their country.

However, that's a joke and the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf of America” would be real and may soon take effect.

What do you think of Trump’s plans? Is it genius, or just wild headlines?
