Meta to Invest Up to $65 Billion in AI Expansion in 2025

Meta Platforms, under the leadership of CEO Mark Zuckerberg, plans to invest up to $65 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in 2025 as reported by TheVerge.

This significant capital expenditure aims to enhance Meta's AI capabilities, including the development of a major AI data center in Louisiana.

Mark Zuckerberg shared in a Threads post that:

"Meta is building a 2GW+ datacenter that is so large it would cover a significant part of Manhattan."

The company's capital expenditures for 2025 are projected to be between $60 billion and $65 billion, surpassing analysts' expectations of $51.4 billion.

According to Investors, despite the higher spending, Meta's stock experienced a 1.7% increase, closing at 647.49.
