Why So Many Westerners Are Relocating to Thailand

If you live in Europe or the US, you already know about the migrant invasion, not to mention the rising cost of living; conspiracy theorists have been telling us for years that the globalists are hungry for control and when you add it all up, those who have the ability to relocate are packing their bags and heading for the tropics.

Land of Smiles

The Thai people always smile, they live in the moment, which is a Buddhist concept and the rich culture definitely sets the Thai people apart.

Visitors are impressed with the excellent service and warm welcome, something that is hard to find back home. Thailand is one of the most visited nations on the planet and if you are looking for a place to settle, you would be hard-pressed to find a better place than the Royal Kingdom of Thailand.

Low cost of living

Set up limited company and buy a plot of land and while your dream villa is being built, you can visit the Thai trade fair in Bangkok and order your kitchen, bathroom suite, bedroom furniture and just about everything else! Buying at trade fairs means lower prices and there are some fantastic deals to be had with old stock that is offered at clearance prices.

If you sell your home, you should have enough to build and furnish your home and still have a secure future. Whatever you spend in a month at home re groceries, you can half that and you won’t have to skimp. Thais are paid relatively low wages, therefore the cost of living must be affordable and Thai people have a good standard of living, most dine out 3-4 times a week and can afford to take taxis everywhere.

Great infrastructure

Thailand has a road system that puts some developed countries to shame, with well-maintained highways that extend to all regions. The rail system is also extensive and very inexpensive; there are numerous airports and flying domestic is more than affordable.

In Bangkok, there is Skytrain, which services central Bangkok and is gradually being extended to reach the suburbs. There are air-conditioned coaches that run to all parts of the country, so getting around is easy. If you are planning to set up a business in Thailand, read this blog.

Retirement visa

If you are aged 50 or over, you can apply for a retirement visa which can be renewed annually at your nearest immigration office.

The requirements include opening a Thai bank account and depositing 800,000 Thai baht, which must be done 2 months prior to applying for the visa; most people use an established visa agent, which is a stress-free way to go.

Note: Never allow your visa to expire, as there can be serious consequences for overstaying your visa, when your visa has 7 days remaining, contact the visa agent and they will handle everything.
