Wayne-Dalton industrial doors. What industrial doors do we produce?
Our extensive offer also includes doors for industrial buildings - halls, workshops, service and business premises. In addition to being of high quality and improving the level of safety, industrial doors can be equipped with additional devices that help to adapt the product to the needs of a particular company.
Sectional doors for industry
The industrial doors in our range are a variant of the sectional garage door - one of the most functional and at the same time most aesthetically pleasing door solutions on the market. The door leaf consists of special panel segments that slide upwards on rails when opened - so there is no need for additional space in the garage to open the door, the door is quick to operate and convenient to control.
Wayne-Dalton sectional doors are made of high-quality materials that guarantee not only high resistance and durability, but also adequate thermal insulation. High-quality panels and a sealing system make it easier to maintain the optimal temperature in the garage. The structure of industrial doors is made of galvanized steel elements, and the panels that make up the door leaf are covered with a layer of steel and filled with polyurethane foam. Since industrial doors are often very large (and therefore heavy), it is important to ensure their safe use. Equipped with tailor-made torsion springs and additional safety features (e.g. mechanisms that prevent the door leaf from falling if the cable and springs are damaged), a high level of safety is ensured.
Tailor-made industrial doors
Depending on the specifics of the project, it is possible to choose between different types of panels and several types of guides, which makes it easier to adapt the door to the specific building and the needs of the investor. Industrial doors can also be manufactured in very large dimensions, and the different types of guides allow the installation of a sectional door in both a newly built and an existing building.
The appearance of a gate can be easily adapted to the aesthetics of the building façade due to the wide range of colours and panel finishes. The panels that make up the door leaf can be smooth or embossed in two ways - with a smooth, smooth or slightly porous stucco structure. The available colours are white, brown, silver, anthracite grey, golden oak and walnut as standard for the slick panels, and white and brown, yellow, red, teal and anthracite grey for the stucco panels. However, it is also possible to order doors in any other RAL colour (for an extra charge).
Other offers are special panels - glazed or openworked. Openwork panels help to ventilate the room better, while glazed panels illuminate the interior with natural light. There is a choice of individual special elements as well as constructions that enable the construction of almost the entire glass store. Glazed panels and glazed gates guarantee the same strength and durability as full cladding - not least because the transparent elements are not made of glass, but of durable plexiglass.
Types of industrial door guides
Depending on the construction of the building, the space available or the expectations of the investors, the door structure can be adapted accordingly within the available guide types. Wayne-Dalton offers four types here:
- LHR guide - designed primarily for buildings with a lower lintel of 220 to 420 mm. The horizontal guides are double and the torsion springs are located on the back, opposite the lintel.
- ST rail - in this case, the camber must be at least 420 mm, with the torsion springs mounted at the front of the lintel.
- HL guide - ideal for buildings with high lintels - from 600 to 2000 mm. The torsion springs are attached to the front of the lintel. The gate is equipped with individual horizontal guides.
- VL leadership - the so-called "vertical take-off". The torsion springs are mounted at the front of the lintel. Equipped with vertical individual rails.
Service Doors
An additional optional feature is a service door that allows access to the garage without the need to lift the entire door. It is especially useful in car repair shops, production halls or warehouses, where employees or customers often come and go and the main entrance is provided with a gate. This door ensures that no time is lost raising and lowering the gate and that traffic on foot can still pass unhindered. Since the door is an integral part of the door, it must remain closed so that the entire door can be lifted.
The possibility of using a certain type of door depends on the type of panel used in the door. A high-threshold door can be installed for stucco panel doors, while a low-threshold version is available for doors made of slick panels. The filling of the service door is made of the same type of panel as that of the door, so that - in combination with the concealed hinges - the visual integrity of the entire structure is maintained. The service door can be equipped with, among other things, a special slat door closer that closes it automatically. The door is also designed to remain tight, so its presence does not have a negative impact on the thermal insulation properties of the door.
