Lovable Secures $7.5M Pre-Seed Funding
Stockholm-based Lovable, the AI-driven platform that enables anyone to create software, just raised a whopping $7.5 million (around €6.83 million) in a pre-seed funding round.
This impressive feat was led by Hummingbird and byFounders, with the support of investors including big names like Mattias Miksche, Bjarke Klinge Staun, and even some DeepMind operators.
But the real excitement?
Lovable’s mission to make coding accessible to everyone, whether they can write a single line of code or not.
Anton Osika, co-founder and CEO of Lovable, who’s worth an estimated $10 million, is steering the ship toward a future where software creation isn't just for the elite.
He said:
“We want to expand the world’s coding capabilities beyond the current 1 per cent of the population who can programme and make software more accessible as a result.”
And let’s be honest—most of us can barely fix a printer, let alone build a web app!
But with Lovable’s new AI tool, GPT Engineer, even non-technical users are jumping in to create fully functional web applications, often in record time.
Lovable’s GPT Engineer isn’t just another AI assistant—it's an intuitive tool that gives both beginners and experienced developers real-time feedback.
Imagine having a senior developer on speed dial, always ready to help you debug and refine your ideas.
One early user, Simon, managed to whip up the first version of his SaaS startup, and another, Katrin, even took a sabbatical to explore her new tech-savvy skills. Not too shabby, right?
With over 27,000 people already on the waitlist, Lovable is poised for rapid growth.
Their fresh injection of cash will go towards expanding the team—think Olympiad gold medalists and seasoned tech veterans—while ensuring the platform keeps pushing the boundaries of AI-powered development.
Who knows? With Lovable’s vision, you might just find yourself building your own app sooner than you think.
