Gladia Secures $16M Series A Funding
Gladia, an AI-powered transcription and audio intelligence company, has raised a whopping $16 million in its Series A funding round.
With big names like XAnge leading the charge and other notable investors such as Illuminate Financial, XTX Ventures, and Gaingels in tow, Gladia is now armed and ready to expand its cutting-edge AI solutions.
What’s next?
A real-time transcription and analytics engine designed to transform voice-first platforms across the globe.
Founded in 2022, Gladia has already raised a total of $20.3 million, and their mission is clear: create a multilingual, real-time audio transcription engine that can handle different languages and accents without breaking a sweat. CEO Jean-Louis Quéguiner founded Gladia out of sheer frustration—he couldn’t find a service that could handle his French accent.
Fast forward to today, and Gladia’s AI engine now transcribes in over 100 languages, adapting to accents and switching between languages on the fly. Finally, an AI that doesn’t get lost in translation.
Jean-Louis Quéguiner, CEO and Co-Founder of Gladia said in the press release:
"I founded Gladia for a very personal reason – I was frustrated that existing audio transcription services were not able to understand my French accent, our international team and customers often switch between languages during meetings, but finding a transcription solution that can handle different languages and accents simultaneously was impossible."
But transcription isn’t all Gladia is tackling. Their new engine can analyze calls in real-time, extracting key insights like sentiment and conversation summaries in less than a second. It’s like having a super-powered stenographer who also doubles as a business analyst.
This technology is a game changer for industries like sales and customer service, where seconds can make a difference in efficiency.
With this fresh injection of capital, Gladia is doubling down on R&D to build out an even more comprehensive AI toolkit. And with plans for international expansion, it’s safe to say Gladia is making waves—one perfectly transcribed conversation at a time.
