Scribenote Raises $8.2M in Seed Funding
Scribenote, an AI startup, is tackling the burnout crisis plaguing veterinarians by automating one of their most time-consuming tasks: medical documentation.
Recently securing $8.2 million in seed funding, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), the company aims to improve both work-life balance and patient care.
Founded in 2019, Scribenote was inspired by co-founder Ryan Gallagher’s sister, Katie, a veterinarian who struggled with hours of post-appointment paperwork.
Scribenote's AI scribe now automatically generates medical records by recording conversations between veterinarians and clients, drastically reducing documentation time.
Ryan Gallagher, Co-founder and CEO of Scribenote said:
"Scribenote is not just about saving time; it's about improving the quality of veterinary care and the lives of those who provide it, by automating the documentation process, we're enabling veterinarians to focus more on their patients and less on paperwork.
Veterinarians often see up to 30 patients a day, leaving little time for record-keeping between appointments.
Scribenote alleviates this burden by offering a seamless, offline-friendly platform that integrates with clinic systems.
- Since launching, it has helped automate over 1.5 million records, saving veterinarians up to two hours daily.
With this new funding, Scribenote plans to expand its platform, aiming to personalize the AI scribe for individual veterinarians and further streamline clinic workflows.
As the platform continues to grow, the team envisions a future where pet care is more affordable and accessible, allowing vets to focus on what truly matters: caring for animals.
