Is Samsung Developing Smart Glasses with Google's Help?
Yes, we learned that Google is helping Samsung to collaborate on a project dubbed the Smart Glasses project.
CNBC reported that Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon said:
“It's going to be a new product, new experiences. What I really expect to come out of this partnership, I want everyone that has a phone to go buy companion glasses to go along with it.”
In these words, he’s definitely revealing the next new product by Samsung that will be developed in collaboration with Google and powered by the same Qualcomm chipset used in Meta’s Ray-Ban Smart Glasses.
This new smart thing from Samsung may hit the markets by October 2024 but there’s no confirmation as there’s no official announcement about it but it is a hint we received from various trusted news sources such as CNBC and others that this is the same device that Samsung was talking about in 2023 and since the company hasn’t launched anything related to those words.
- So, basically, it will be the next big smart gadget from the tech giant to leap forward in the future where nobody will be using a smartphone, and the world become phone-less.
This may look like a dream, but it's just around the corner as Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses are already doing it with a lot of advancements using AI.
“AI is going to run on the device. It’s going to run on the cloud. It’s going to run some in the glass, some in the phone, but at the end of the day, there’s going to be whole new experiences,” Amon said hinting at how this new device will sync with your smartphone.
So, we may still have to wait to have a really smart pair of glasses on our eyes that will help us watch Netflix without holding a smartphone and we even don’t have to touch them.
The possibilities with these smart glasses are endless, and only the future will tell us what they will bring down to human lives.
