Is Bluesky going to be the next Twitter?

Is Bluesky going to be the next Twitter?

Yes, Bluesky is going to be the next Twitter and of course, X-killer as it is gradually growing at a much faster rate than Elon Musk’s X social network.

Here’s how and why:

Bluesky is a social networking platform with not a new but an interesting approach.

The network allows users to set custom domain names as their usernames, making it a go-to platform for creating personal website pages and portfolio pages without having to buy hosting or giggle with web hosting and cPanels.

Users can also customize their feed and choose a content moderation level and more.

Bluesky was actually a baby of Twitter and then separated from the company to be a different and independent social network that still resembles the original Twitter UI and all the core features.

Roaring on the roads of Brazil, Bluesky recently added 2 million users after Elon Musk’s X got banned in the country and users went on to find an alternative, bringing the total number of the platform’s users to more than 10 million.

Bluesky officially announced this in a post on its handle @bsky.app saying:

“If you’re reading this, you’re one of the first 10 million users on Bluesky!”

Yes, it was posted on Bluesky, not X or LinkedIn.

However, the road for Bluesky to be the next Twitter or an X-killer app is still a long way to go.

The social network still needs to grow at a rapid rate to touch X’s massive 250 million daily users.

No doubt Bluesky is far away from the race but their 400% growth in just a few weeks is actually an alarming sign that the network is becoming a go-to place for Twitter users who after Elon Musk’s takeover no longer want to use X (formerly Twitter).
