This Reddit User Hates “Sterra Air Purifier” and Here’s Why

I was searching for some cool and trendy air purifiers for my laptop desk that’s my complete workplace beside my bed and found Sterra Air Purifier.

However, after just a few minutes of searching about its quality and what the real users have to say about it, I came to this Reddit story where r/SingaporeRaw (a Sub-Reddit) shared a post by an anonymous user saying “Sterra air purifier (2024) sucks!!!”.

Here's what he posted:

I bought it recently and it sucks. Spoilt within a few weeks. Dont make the same mistake as I did....

I heard that these kind of companies use all their money to market their products but never spend money on R&D.

If i recall, they just buy from china/online then rebrand as their own...

Buyers beware...

I began reading comments on this now-deleted Reddit post and found that almost every user is sharing the same disappointment.

All of them shared that Sterra Air Purifier lacks quality and is just a dropshipped product nothing else and that's why the r/SingaporeRaw also shared the same pain.

A Redditor went on to say:

Don't buy anything with the brand Sterra on it. They spend more money on faking social media marketing than they do on their product quality.

Another said:

Lizhien said that Xiaomi is a better choice and another replied that they are best value for money.

Outc5st another Reddit user commented on the post saying:

“Everything boosted by influencer marketing is shit”.

Most of these commenters shared that brands such as Sterra, PRISM, and SecretLabs are just selling rebadged PRC products that are sourced from China and being sold at 10x their real price.

They call it a scam company and a trash product, so I am not buying a Sterra air purifier at all.

I would be buying Xiaomi now.

However, I still believe that if a trusted influencer is reviewing a product and saying it is a good one, we should at least test the product.

And I love their design, size, and prices too.
