Google AI may finally tell you if you are sick or not!
Yes, Google AI may finally tell you if you are sick or not as the company is working on a breakthrough AI-powered algorithm that can hear sounds, understand them, and make predictions.
It is kind of a "doctor in your pocket" who's very smart that you don't have to tell him about any disease or a feeling you may have.
Even if you don't know that you are getting sick, it will be able to alert you before you get sick so you can take precautions to be safer than ever.
Bloomberg report shared that Google has already trained this new AI model called "bioacoustics health-care model to detect disease from human sounds" with 300 million audio clips that include samples of coughs, sneezes, sniffles, and even labored breathing to help the model understand sounds from a human with the top possible accuracy.
To my surprise, Google is not relying on its engineers for this AI, the company is working with an Indian respiratory healthcare AI startup “Salcit Technologies” to make this AI available in smartphones.
With an aim to help underserved and high-risk areas all around the globe, Google is already way ahead of the competition in making AI (finally) beneficial for humans.
- This AI by Google also got a name and it is “HeAR” short for Health Acoustic Representations with 100 million cough sounds are accurately helping to test TB in patients and that’s just a breakthrough in healthcare as it now has 300 million sounds with more accuracy and categories to make predictions more helpful.
So, very soon, we may not wear health bands, and no more smartwatches with healthcare functions, we will use Google's smartphone app to let it alert us about our health conditions as it is an "AI that listens" and understands the sounds of humans.
"Amazing times to live in!" no?
