Air Canada Flight Attendant Melts Down At Passenger Who Asked for Blanket (Flight Gets Canceled)

The occurrence was before the planned departure of the flight AC73 at 8:50 AM on July 26. Airbus A330 passengers complained the cabin was chilly, and a woman asked for a blanket. The viral video shows that the flight was cold enough for passengers to ask for blankets, but the crew went crazy over her.

It got worse when the flight attendant who was communicating in both French and English started yelling at the passengers.

She said she would have the man who asked for a blanket taken off the plane and loudly supported her crew, saying,

“I don’t want no bullying against my crew. ”

The flight attendant went on a tirade, which other passengers recorded as the plane began to move on the tarmac.

This led to the crew demanding the woman who asked for the blanket to be taken away from the set. However, other passengers sought to alight in protest of the mistreatment of the lady.

Therefore, the plane was brought back to the gate and local police were summoned to deal with the matter. The flight was eventually called off and passengers had to spend the night at the airport.

Air Canada flew the same route the next day with a fresh crew on a new flight number, namely AC2073. The airline released a statement saying they regret the incident and apologized to all the passengers. An Air Canada representative said that the company is concerned with the incident and assured that it is being investigated and necessary action will be taken.

The passengers who were supposed to travel on the canceled flight will be compensated for the delay. The management’s response to the situation, which involved changing the crew, was considered a proper but expensive measure.

The event has raised questions about the ability of flight attendants to handle confrontations on planes and about the possibility of stress-related burnout among the personnel.
