Take-Two is going to lay off 5% of its staff and leaving several of its projects
The GTA 6 publisher announced in a new filing that Take-Two Interactive is going to lay off "approximately five percent" of its staff, which means almost 600 workers and leaving several of its projects incomplete.
In an SEC filing published on Tuesday, the company said:“streamlining its organizational structure, which will eliminate headcount and reduce future hiring needs.” They say it will incur charges of up to $200 million to enact its “cost reduction program,”
This can make the company to save $165 yearly, and all this is going to happen till 31st December, 2024. The CEO of the company Zelnick said before:
“Our biggest line item expense was marketing, so we do have the opportunity to optimize many expenses that don’t involve our headcount: marketing and third party expenses, vendor charges, and the like, can still be optimized,” “We’re a big company, so we have always prided ourselves on being the most efficient company in the entertainment business.”
Now that the company is planning a big change in all of its system by the end of this year that can be annoying news for many.
