How to Turn on Meta AI in WhatsApp

Ask Meta AI (in common words Meta AI) is a new feature in WhatsApp that lets you chat with a large language model (LLM) developed by Meta to chat, search, and generate images before you actually use it, you first have to turn it on on your whatsapp.

Here's how to turn it on:

1. Open WhatsApp.
2. Look for the Meta AI logo. A new icon should be at the bottom right corner of your screen or at the search option on Whatsapp.
3. Tap the Meta AI logo. This will open a welcome message and Meta's terms and conditions.
4. Review the terms and conditions. Make sure you understand what data Meta AI collects and how it's used.
5. Tap "Accept" if you agree to the terms.

Once you accept the terms and conditions, Meta AI will be activated, and you'll be able to chat with it or use it to generate images.

How to Generate Images using Meta AI in WhatsApp

To compete with other AI players such as DALL·E and others, Meta AI in WhatsApp allows you to generate images based on your prompts.

Here's how to do it:

1. Open your chat with Meta AI. You can find it in your chat list like any other conversation and also at the search option in Whatsapp.
2. Type a slash command followed by your image prompt. For example, you can type "/imagine a cat riding a bicycle."
3. Send the message. Meta AI will process your request and generate an image based on your description.
4. Wait for the image. It shouldn't take too long, but the speed may vary depending on the server load.

Update: Whatsapp now allows you to generate an AI image and even edit an AI generate image in any chat with anyone.

Note: You are limited to 25 image generations per day with Meta AI in Whatsapp, so make sure you don't exceed these limits.

How to Search Using Meta AI in WhatsApp

Currently, Meta AI isn't designed for searching the web directly but can provide search results from Bing (its web search partner). However, you can ask it questions that might require searching for information online and as well as searching for chats in whatsapp and more.

For instance, you could ask:

1. "What's the capital of France?"
2. "What are the best restaurants near me?"
3. "What are the symptoms of the common cold?"

Meta AI will access information from across the internet or process from its LLM database and respond based on its understanding and Bing (its search engine partner).
