Snapdragon set to Launch a New Chipset or two in the end of March
Qualcomm is now ready to launch a new Snapdragon chipset, which has came with an announcement date of 18th March 2024.
There is no any clear idea that what is going to be announced by Qualcomm, but a research makes sense that the chipmaker is going to launch a new Snapdragon chipset or two. Head of marketing of the company has gone on social teasing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, that is set for October and also aligns with the schedule of the current release.
Qualcomm has given a news that they are working on a new product (via GSMArena). A dtae of 18th March with a time of 14:30 has been noted in Beijing, with this news.
It has been indicated by the source that we might see a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which has the similar characteristics to the 8 Gen 3, though it is not likely as powerful.
There is another rumor that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 will be launched at the event, though there is nothing comletely known about the SoC. A lot of promo leaves us in dark because the marketing image is conveniently quiet in terms of teaser imagery.
Nothing is going to be as AI heavy or well equipped as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is going to be. It has been indicated in the previous teasers that the 8 Gen 4 will boast an Oryon CPU and a more powerful NPU for better AI performance.
