- On your device, open the Instagram app.
- From the bottom, click the + icon.
- From the bottom navigation bar, select Reels.
- To upload an already recorded reel tap the + icon.
- Or to record a new video press the Shutter button if you want to use it as an Instagram reel.
- Now, click the Next button.
- From the editing page edit your reel as you want to, and then click on Next.
- Now, click the Tag People option.
- To add a collaborator to your reel, click on the Invite Collaborator button.
- Now search and add the username of your wished collaborator.
- To save these changes, tap the Tick button. After completing the other details entry, publish the reel to the Instagram by tapping on the Share button.
- This will make your collaborator receive a request for collaboration instantly.
- When your partner will approve your request, Instagram will the collaborated reel with the names of both of the authors.

You can also use this Collab feature of Instagram on your Posts. Follow the steps below to do so:
- On your device, open Instagram.
- From the bottom of the screen, click the + icon.
- From the navigation bar below, select Post. And then select the photo or video that you want to use as Instagram post.
- From the top right corner of the app screen, click the Next icon.
- Edit your video or photo as you wish and then click the forward arrow icon again.
- Click the Tag People option.
- Invite collaborator by tapping on the Invite Collaborators, to add them as co-author search for their Instagram username.
- After adding further details, from the top right corner of the app click the Blue Tick icon to post your photo or video.
- Now, your collaborator will instantly receive the request notification for post.
- As your collaborator will approve your request, your post will be published on both profiles with names in the post title.
