United Airlines Halts Ad Spending on Twitter
As soon as Elon Musk acquired the company, a backlash is making big advertisers and brands say goodbye to one most trusted advertising platforms Twitter.
Today another big company United Airlines Holdings Inc announced suspending ad spending on the social media giant joining many other international brands such as MG and Audi of America.
While Elon Musk is blaming activist groups and said they are pressuring advertisers to go.
The billionaire thinks that Twitter is losing on advertisers because of some activist groups but he didn’t clearly mention any.
Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion and currently he is considering $8/month for Twitter blue with Verification Badge and layoffs to make the company profitable for all the good reasons (as he’s aiming).
It is alarming to know that Twitter's layoff procedure affected 50% of the company's employees which is a too big number for any tech company with recent layoffs.
To your notes, Twitter posted a revenue drop in July 2022 and blamed Elon Musk's Twitter buyout offer including surging inflation and low-run in the ad-spending markets.
Whatever is happening, Elon Musk is confident that he could make Twitter a respected social media platform where advertisers will surely spend for getting real ROI and not just bots clicking the ads.
We will be seeing the next changes on Twitter.
