Yes, now (if you subscribe to a paid ad-supported plan of Netflix) you will be seeing ads before, in between, and after the video content on Netflix.
As it is a cheaper plan for Netflix to make sure every consumer stays with them after the company has lost thousands of paid subscribers owing to rivals such as Hulu, Disney+, and Prime Video.
Netflix is currently the biggest streaming platform and an OTT media giant with a lot of exclusive titles to watch online using a smartphone or a smart TV, and have different pricing plans to suit the needs of the consumers. However, increasing competition with many newcomers with the same type of content and cheaper plans forced Netflix to introduce their own much cheaper plan as well.
Starting in Canada and Mexico from November 1, 2022, Netflix is going to allow consumers to subscribe to a cheap plan which is ad-supported and also comes with low quality video content and even some content will be restricted in this plan.
Netflix Officially Tweeted:
Enjoy your Netflix experience exactly as it is today? Great! Nothing about the way you watch Netflix is going to change.

This ad tier is an exclusive plan for Netflix lovers who are not annoyed with random ads on their streamings and could watch 15 seconds to 30 seconds ad during a suspensive scene.
Netflix is not just releasing this ad tier for subscribers, but will also give access to advertising opportunities to advertisers with various abilities so they can easily target an audience and make their ads available to a selected audience as they need.
It is going to be another advertising platform that is similar to YouTube’s ad-supported content sharing network.
However, it is first of its kind OTT platform.
