Hertz Orders 100,000 Tesla EVs That Reportedly Worth $4.2 Billion

After avoiding bankruptcy earlier this year, Hertz (a company known for car rentals) just ordered biggest EVs purchase from Tesla for 100,000 Teslas.

This tweet confirms the news of the biggest EV order till today.
Adding further, in a press release statement, CEO of Hertz Mark Fields described:
"Electric vehicles are now mainstream, and we’ve only just begun to see rising global demand and interest. The new Hertz is going to lead the way as a mobility company, starting with the largest EV rental fleet in North America and a commitment to grow our EV fleet and provide the best rental and recharging experience for leisure and business customers around the world."
Tesla and Hertz this deal is worth $4.2 billion and yes (as per The Verge), its the single largest order of electric vehicles.
IBTimes reported that Hertz said:
"With the current order, EVs will comprise 20 percent of Hertz's global fleet. The company will have EV chargers in around 65 markets by the end of 2022 and more than 100 markets by the end of 2023,"
With this biggest EVs order, Hertz will install Tesla's model 3 sedans in many US and European cities starting this November.
