How to Record a Google Meet Video Call for Free?
Its a conference? a meeting? or an important company event? even if its about a simple call from your loved ones, you can press the recording button (available officially in Google Meet) and record a copy of your online video call and here's how to do it in just a few steps:
- Open your Browser and go to Google Meet and start or join a meeting.
- During that video meeting, click three-dots button at the bottom right corner
- Click "Record meeting" and accept "Ask for consent" pop-up.
It will start your recording and you can stop it whenever you want or it will stop when all the participants leave the video chat. You can stop the recording by follow simple steps:
- During a Google Meet call, click on the three-dots menu option.
- Find and click on the "Stop recording" option, confirm from the pop-up.

Please note that: Only the administrator, meeting organizer, teachers and also the students (if in the same organization) can record Google meet video calls. If you don't have a permission, you can check some third-party software and see if they work for you.
All of your Google Meet recordings will be available at the meeting organizer's Google Drive in Meet Recordings folder and Google Meet will also send you an email with confirmation of your recording.
