Twitter Tests No-Crop Pictures to Fix Problematic Image Crops
Following the criticism of Twitterati over problematic image cropping in Twitter app and website, Twitter test a no-crop pictures feature.
This new update to Twitter will not let you tweet full-sized images and your media will show at the actual size which was being cropped to a 16:9 frame. As image-cropping is a feature in Twitter, basically, Twitter is looking forward to removing this cropping-feature and add another AI-powered resizing feature that will make sure that images are not being cropped and still in-the-view.
Not just pictures, but videos were also being cropped for which Twitter said:
Sometimes it's better said with a picture or a video. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be testing some ways to improve how you can share and view media on Twitter. 👀

Some people even tweeted about how racial-injustice is being represented with twitter's image-cropping feature as it works on white people showing their faces and not on black. Besides this, Twitter will allow a bunch of users to upload 4K-quality images using iOS or Android devices.
Twitter chief design officer Dantley Davis of the test said:
“With this test, we hope to learn if this new approach is better and what changes we need to make to provide a ‘what you see is what you get’ experience for tweets with images,”
This new update will be rolled out soon.
