2 Foldable iPhones by Apple Pass Internal Durability Test in China
Not just Samsung, Apple is also working on its Foldable iPhones and this time the prototypes passed an internal durability test. By testing two iPhones with different prototypes that look advanced than the current iPhone models, Apple is making news about its upcoming smartphone model probably with a foldable feature.
The tests held at the Foxconn factory located in Shenzhen, China. This gives life to all the rumors and leaks we read after Samsung launched its foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip and the clamshell model that Apple tested at Foxconn factory is similar to Galaxy Z Flip and reportedly using Samsung's OLED display technology. The 2nd tested iPhone prototype is similar to Microsoft Surface Duo and is a dual-screen model.
Experts say that Apple may launch a new iPhone model with two to three varients all having foldable-tech and abandon the other models such as iPhone 10,11 and 12 with their variants too.
According to some reports and rumors, Apple will launch a foldable iPhone by 2023. However, there's no official statement about this.
Having a bendable screen on a smartphone developed by Apple looks like the end of traditional smartphones we are using today. Apple may give a hard time to all the new smartphone companies which are still handling their day-to-day expenses and this new trend of foldable smartphones may damage the business of companies such as Nokia, Oppo, and Huawei.
However, the tested iPhones that are foldable are just the shells and Apple is reportedly working on the devices to bring them into the market as soon as possible.
