Google Removes 36 Harmful Apps from Play Store (List Here)
Google removes 36 harmful apps from Android's Play Store that were violating Google's policies for the safety of users including children. Some of the apps were stealing personal data and some applications with dangerous malware and other viruses were affecting users.
A type of virus called Joker Malware has been found in some apps and this is the same virus type that infected 11 apps in July that were also deleted from Play Store. Early this month Google has been taking strict actions against such apps and now just removed another set of 36 apps.
Out of these 36 apps being removed from Google Play Store, these 3 apps were stealing personal data of children:
- Princess Salon
- Number Coloring
- Cats & Cosplay
As stealing children’s data or selling such information to third parties is against Google's policies and also unethical, these apps are removed from the Play Store and we recommend you delete these apps from your mobile phone manually.
