4 Careers That Can Keep You Excited!
If we’re all honest with ourselves, we might spend 50% of the time working, and the other 50% of the time doing anything we can to stay awake, daydream of another life, and talk to our work friends.
The working environment is often not a productive one, at least that’s what employees think. Employers somehow are none the wiser that everyone in their team hates what they’re doing, and spends half of the time not doing it anyway.
Do you want to know why we do this?
It’s because our careers just don’t excite us in the slightest. It’s so easy to think about another life when you’re at work, because the work you’re doing is something you hate so much, and you just can’t imagine yourself being there until you’re old and grey.
But for a lot of you, if you don’t do something about it, staying in the career you hate so much at the minute is exactly what you’re going to be doing! Which is why we want you to take some time to read this article and see if you like any of the career ideas below.
Because we really do think that they’re the ones to keep you nice and excited all of the time! So keep on reading, and see if you could do a career switch to one of the ones we’ve listed below.
1. Travel Reps
We wanted to start off with something that’s fun, and easy to get into. Becoming a travel rep is perhaps one of the best things you can do because it literally gives you the chance to go and see the world and do something different.Yes, you might be working at the same time, but you won’t be working all of the time, and you’ll actually have so many opportunities to go out there and have some fun, relax, and see the place that you have been posted to. Plus, the role is pretty simple as well. All you’d have to do is make sure the guests that are staying in the hotel you’re based at are ok, and that you’re taking them out to do things when they book the trips. So as you can see, it’s not really a stressful job, and you could get posted to some of the most beautiful places in the world.
All you really need to have is a good level of customer service experience, be a friendly face, and not mind being away from your family or friends for a few months of the year. It’s not a permanent post, and they usually only run during the peak times at the place you’re going to.
But peak times are the best times to be there, there’s just so much going on, and so much potential to go out and have some fun! Just make sure you go with a company who is going to treat you well, put you up in nice accommodation, and is going to take care of you fully whilst you’re out there!
2. Engineering
Engineering is going to be exciting for those of you who are a little more technical minded, and perhaps more hands-on than others. But for anyone who isn’t either of those two, don’t rule a career in engineering out. There are so many routes you could go down, you just have to know which one is going to suit you. The only downside to this career is that you’re going to have to have some form of education or qualifications to go into the line of work. Which is why you could think about taking an online degree to get your foot in the door and look around for any traineeships in the field of engineering that you’re interested in!
You could then look at doing a masters in engineering management online program, and before you know it you could be top of the field that you’re in. The great thing about engineering is that no two day is the same. You’ll often find that you’re always doing something different and exciting, and the pay is usually really good as well!
3. Nursing
Now, this is one if you’re looking to feel excited, scared, thrilled, and on edge… all at the same time. This might sound a bit overwhelming to some of you, but it’s one of the best ways that you can keep your mind alive and engaged in what you’re doing.Plus, nursing is one of the best careers out there if you’re looking for job satisfaction. You’re literally helping to save lives, getting paid to do it, and making lifelong friends in the process. Because of the nature of the work, you’ll often find that a nursing team really does gel together!
Again, you will have to go down the route of a degree for this career path, but they’re pretty easy to come by online. Or, you could drop out of your job and go back to university or college to do a course.
It’s pretty easy to earn money around it, and you can get student loans to help cover your finances. But sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the things you want in life, and a career in nursing would definitely be worth the sacrifice. Try looking for opportunities with Stability Healthcare.
4. Your Own Business
Now, this is obviously going to be one that will appeal to everyone because running your own business means being your own boss and having fun with it. But it really isn’t as simple as having an idea, going to the banks, and hoping they’ll give you some money. It’s so complex, and you have to spend months of planning to make sure this venture would work out. The best thing you can do is get all of the advice you could ever wish for, both from talking to business people and advisors and reading articles on the internet.
But if you can come up with a great idea, and you can figure out how to execute it, this will be the best thing you have ever done!
